The place itself - you go there for the location & great beachside surroundings. The building residents/ owners are, in large part, Canadian and American. They are very friendly. We had the pleasure of meeting 2 owners, who split time between here and up north. Bus and taxis are easy to locate. Uber eats takes some work, but’s doable. The beach itself has a completely different vibe from the town. More locals, quiet evenings, & less beachside vendors.

aul's condominium has the best beach of any residence within miles -- BETTER than the Hilton Hotel's beach nearby! Stroll out past the pool and you're in the sand with the waves tickling your toes! If you like to snorkel, or want to try, this is the spot! Wade into warm water, adjust your mask and paddle around the rockpiles! Schools of silver and yellow angelfish skitter around the outermost rocks, up near the surface, while larger, dark neon-blue specimens guard the crevices below. For a PEAK lifetime experience, my wife and visited the Los Arcos rocks - a mile south. Inexpensive boat trips transport you to the deeper waters near these massive rocks, where a full-blown circus of tropical sea life is on parade! Come back in from the Condo's beach and you lounge poolside under coconut fronds. Paul's, out of the Puerta Vallarta Hustle, was PERFECT, a purely relaxing environment, with all creature comforts, in a casual pad. The sound of the waves put me to sleep every night.

We've stayed at this condo multiple times, and it’s always perfect. Upon arrival this time, two whales greeted us with playful antics right off the balcony! The condo offers a stunning 180° view of Banderas Bay, from Puerto Vallarta to the south beach, and it’s a joy to see the ocean from every window and door. Being steps from the pool or beach makes this place exceptional. While not private, the beach feels like it, and we love swimming, water sports, and walking to our favorite nearby restaurant to catch breathtaking sunsets. The condo is clean, well-appointed, and perfect for dining on the balcony, listening to waves, and enjoying whale sightings. Paul, the host, is accommodating and prompt with requests. Located in Playa Punta Negra, it’s close to downtown but far enough for peace, with quick 10-peso bus ride to the city. I hesitate to share this gem—it’s that special—but hope others enjoy it as much as we did.
